"The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind"

Karen Murphy Clinical Psychologist is currently on extended leave and not accepting referrals until her return.
Perhaps the time is right to seek clarity, work through difficult emotions, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, or improve resilience in difficult situations. Perhaps the time is right to reconsider how you relate to yourself, others and your world....
About Therapy
Sometimes we have little control over how others behave and what is happening around us but we still have the ability to change how we respond to our experiences and interact with others. Clients and I work together to take a close look at their past and/or present life experiences and the way they think, feel and behave in relation to themselves, others and the world. Therapy aims to develop better ways to cope with life's challenges. Therapy sessions are tailored to the individual and their problems - big or small, new or longstanding - their situation, their style of communication, and their idea of change. Get in touch for a more detailed information sheet or to ask any questions you may have.

for Individuals
Aiming for a better quality of life
Got a problem that is causing you distress? Sick and tired of an ongoing problem but can't see a solution? Facing a new problem which took you by surprise? Sessions can focus on past or current issues which you believe are negatively impacting your quality of life. We'll work together to find ways of reducing distress through more helpful ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. Often we can't change people or situations but we can try to change our response to them.

Topics can include; psychoeducation and management of symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression, improving skills of communication, social interaction, resilience and motivation.
Make contact to ask questions and register your interest in group sessions which will go ahead with 6 or more members. Group sessions will be arranged in response to demand.
